DAVID OBUCHOWICZ



David has substantial experience defending clients in federal and state-court litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and appellate matters.  Joining the Firm in 2016, David’s practice focuses on general business and employment litigation, higher education, and government contracts matters, as well as cases involving the False Claims Act. David also focuses on brewery and distillery law practice.  As part of Gombos Leyton’s appellate practice team, David has helped author several 

briefs in the Federal Circuit Courts.  Prior to joining Gombos Leyton, David represented numerous insurance companies in a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on appellate practice.  David has successfully handled over a dozen cases before the Court of Appeals of Virginia, including drafting motions and briefs and performing oral arguments. 

David earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2002 and earned his J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law (now known as the Antonin Scalia School of Law), where he served on the moot court board and as a writing fellow.
